ENVIRONMENTAL SAFETY OF WOOD WOOL CEMENT BOARDS

There are only two companies in Russia that produce wood wool cement boards with reduced formaldehyde content. One of them is our mill. Production is organized on an automatic line by the company Eltomation B.V. from the Netherlands. The quality of the products is not inferior to European analogues.

When working with eco-friendly northern wood, it is important to keep it clean and fresh. We have been producing pure wood products without artificial additives for more than 60 years.

COMPARISON OF OSB AND WOOD WOOL CEMENT BOARDS

Wood wool cement boards is a better and safer analogue of OSB. It has found its application in many areas due to good quality characteristics.

Four main advantages of WWCB:

· Environmentally friendly — free of toxic substances. Unlike OSB, which contains formaldehyde resins, in WWCBs the liquid glass is used.

· Fireresistance class of the material — B-s1, d0. The boards can be machined with open fire. When used, they do not emit toxins, and when burning into the atmosphere only takes 20% of the volatile substances. OSB refers to flammable materials with fireresistance rating B2.

· Low thermal conductivity — WWCB keeps heat twice better than OSB.

· Dust free material — can be used in premises with high sterility requirements, such as laboratories and medical facilities, for installation of partitions, insulation and sound insulation of floors and ceilings.

HOW THE ENVIRONMENTAL SAFETY OF THE WOOD WOOL CEMENT BOARD IS ACHIEVED

The material consists of three components: M500 portland cement (white or gray) and wood chips impregnated with liquid glass. The production uses environmentally friendly wood, extracted in the northern part of Russia, which is characterized by high density and strength.

The environmental safety of our boards is confirmed by the Federal Medical-Biological Agency of Moscow. According to Accreditation Certificate No. 1124g/2019 dated 15.04.2019, there is no sulfur dioxide and phosphorous anhydride in the material. The index of toxicity of the board is 87,5% at the norm of 70—120%.

WWCBs can be used in construction and finishing of residential buildings. With their help, make a dead formwork in monolithic construction, make roofing materials, ventilation boxes, install sound and thermal insulation systems.
